A woman was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries July 3 after a one-car rollover in Wakefield Township.

On July 3, at approximately 8:22 p.m., the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a call of a single vehicle crash with injuries at the address of 18052 Red Cedar Road in Wakefield Township.  This address is approximately 3.5 miles southeast of the city of Richmond. Stearns County Deputies along with officers from the Cold Spring Police Department responded to the crash scene. Deputies observed a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with heavy damage in the north ditch.  The three occupants of the vehicle were complaining of injuries. Gabriel Borgen, 18, of St. Augusta and Cecelia Woods, 18, of Richmond had minor injuries and were cleared at the scene by Mayo Ambulance. Merideth Theis, 19, of Cold Spring was transported via Mayo Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies determined the Silverado had been traveling eastbound on Red Cedar Road approaching a curve, when it crossed over the center line going off the roadway hitting a tree and came to rest in a wooded area. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash which remains under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Chain of Lakes Fire Department, Cold Spring Police Department, and Mayo Ambulance.
