In regard to your editorial, “Scope out gun safety solutions,” it is not the guns that kill people, it’s the people! Do you think criminals and gang members buy guns at the store? If you take guns away or make it difficult to buy a gun, criminals and gang members will still get them! What about addressing mental illness? Accidents will always happen, children will find guns in their homes, and it most likely will be a terrible outcome. Why was a gun lying around? Are the parents gang members? Are they drug addicts? What about responsibility? It seems that today’s world lacks responsibility in many areas, too numerous to list.
When I started reading Dennis Dalman’s article, “Can’t win? Oh well … Just Cheat,” I thought he was writing about the Democrats. It is completely their play book to lie and cheat to get their agenda pushed through. Tell me what, specifically, is suppressing about the Georgia voting law? You keep saying suppression of the minority vote. What is it? There is nothing preventing anyone who wants to vote from casting one. The Georgia laws are more liberal than other states such as Delaware.
Your statement about not allowing water and food for people waiting in line is not true. Check your facts. The new buzz phrase, “It’s Jim Crow all over again,” is ridiculous, and Raphael Warnock should know better. He is not the upstanding citizen you think he is. I would not be quoting him if I were you.
This is my opinion.
