The farmers’ market in Sartell, known as “Market Monday,” will celebrate National Farmersʼ Market Week Monday, Aug. 6, and one of the highlights will be a demonstration of how to make pasta from scratch.
There are more than 150 farmersʼ markets in Minnesota and more than 7,000 nationwide.
Market Monday, Sartell, began in 2011 and currently has 16-18 vendors selling a variety of products, including lamb, beef, pork, chicken, eggs, honey, baked goods, hand-crafted pottery and wood products, jams, coffee, tea, popcorn, sunflower oil, egg rolls, fresh-cut flowers, canned items, many vegetables, fruit and much more.
Market Monday takes place in Sartellʼs Pinecone Regional Park just south of city hall. The park offers a place for kids to play. Restrooms are available, and there is ice cold water and lemonade at the community tent.
“I am thrilled to have such a vibrant market and community gathering place in Sartell and am grateful for the support of the city, the consistency of the vendors and the loyalty of our shoppers.” said market coordinator Amy Braig-Lindstrom.
