Dr. Zoe Morris, the newest veterinarian at Pine Cone Pet Hospital in Sartell, likely followed in her grandfather’s footsteps, knowingly or not, because he too was a veterinarian.
Morris, who lived in Michigan, found out about an opening at PCPH via the Internet. She then called PCPH and was invited to do an in-person interview so she drove to Sartell, interviewed and got the job.
PCPH now has three licensed/certified veterinary doctors: owner Dr. Walker Brown, Dr. Heather Vogl and now Dr. Zoe Morris. There are also about 10 staff members who work at the clinic/pet hospital.
In an interview with the Newsleaders, Morris shared a bit about her background. Born in Southfield, Mich., Morris grew up in South Lyon, Mich.
For her undergraduate work, she studied at Michigan State University and later received her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2020 from the University of Illinois.
Not surprisingly, Morris loves her pets. She has four pets and a horse at her home on a 23-acre parcel of land near Pierz where she lives with her husband, Tayler.
Her hobbies are reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and riding her horse.
As a PCPH veterinarian, Morris typically helps with the needs of at least 10 animals per day, mostly dogs and cats. She specializes in soft-tissue surgery and internal medicine.
“I love my job,” she said. “I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
