I recently became a resident of Sartell in one of Sartell’s very nice apartment complexes. I enjoy reading your paper, the Newsleaders.
I was a high school teacher in my younger years, and I appreciate youth who are on the right track in their lives. I was very impressed with the article about the 14-year-old good friends, Bennett Prose and Sophie Wieland. Our world would be a better place if we had more youth and adults with their value system.
After my four children finished college and went off to their chosen careers, I went back to my college and took more classes for 13 years. Then I gave talks entitled “Happiness Is.” I hope I had influence on some lives.
Besides being good students and having an active productive life, Bennett and Sophie were great friends and helped others along the way. It brought tears to my eyes just reading the article.
I congratulate their parents and teachers for their influence on their lives.
