Elite runners in the 37th annual Apple Duathlon take off May 25 from the Sartell Middle School. The USA Triathlon-sanctioned event is a 5k run, a 33k bike ride and ends with another 5k run. Ryan Giuliano (second from right) of Oakwood Hill, Illinois, finished first with a record time of 1:19:46. About 200 people participated in the duathlon and a 5k fun run.
