We are currently organizing our second annual Sabre Nation Community Service Day, and we need your help! We want to thank our community for its continuous support and do something to show how much we appreciate it. On the afternoon of May 2, the students and teachers from Sartell-St. Stephen High School are going to be dispersed among the two communities in order to complete some community service projects. We are working with the two cities and would like additional ideas and opportunities. Last year, we did outside projects such as yard work, landscaping, litter clean-up, painting and car washing. We also did some indoor projects like volunteering at the elementary schools, making tie blankets to donate and creating care packages/writing letters for veterans or soldiers overseas.
If you have some local community service project ideas in either city (busing may be available for the students), please call the high school at 320-656-0748 or email Ryan Hacker at ryan.hacker@sartell.k12.mn.us or Ranette Holmseth at ranette.holmseth@sartell.k12.mn.us. Please have suggestions to us by April 6th. We will do our best to accommodate as many projects as we can based on the time and resources we have available. We are really looking forward to the day on May 2, and hope you will be able to see the impact from that day in and around the community.
To help fund our Sabre Nation Community Service Day, our Technology Club is working in conjunction with Albany Recycling Center to hold an E-Recycling fundraiser. Collection will be Thursday, April 5, 12, and 19 after school. Look for more information to be posted on the district website and around the community.
