Two candidate forums will take place at the Sartell Community Center in early October.
At 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, the public will have a chance to hear the four candidates vying for two seats on the Sartell City Council. Those candidates are Tim Elness (incumbent), Bradley Gunderson, Stacy Lundeen and Jed Meyer. The forum is co-sponsored by the Sartell Senior Connection and the League of Women Voters, which will moderate the forum and provide guidelines for written questions to the candidates.
At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, a forum will feature the nine candidates competing for three seats on the Sartell-St. Stephen School Board. They are Amanda Byrd (incumbent), Nate Crowe, Ryan K. Dale, Katie Hilger, Emily Larson, Kris Lawrence, Molly McCann, Jen Smith and Scott Wenshau. The forum will be moderated by Mike Knaak, former editor of the Sartell-St. Stephen Newsleader.
Co-sponsors of the event are the Sartell Senior Connection, the Sartell Education Association and the League of Women Voters.
Questions for both forums must be submitted upon arrival at the forums.
