Once again, the Sartell Post Office achieved its “Breast Cancer” stamp goal this year, selling $1,799-worth of the stamps, the third highest in Minnesota and part of Wisconsin and tops for the central Minnesota area.
It’s all “thanks to the Sartell customers,” said Sartell Postmaster Terry Niehaus.
The statewide contest included cities in a postal region of Minnesota and part of western Wisconsin among post offices of similar size. The winner was Cumberland, Wis. followed by Chaska and Sartell.
For many years, Sartell was the top Breast Cancer stamp seller or very near the top. Breast Cancer stamps cost a few pennies more than regular Class A stamps, and the money from their sales goes to breast-cancer research.
