Superintendent Report:
- Ridlehoover reported on happenings around the district. In July, the district welcomed new administrators and held a principal 101 academy. Ridlehoover has been working with the Department of Health and their KOGNITO program designed to identify signs of depression and offer support to students and families. School bell times have been modified for our elementary sites. City of Sartell is now operating and managing Community Education. Ridlehoover welcomed Dawn Gent back to the district. She will serve as the new Special Education coordinator. Marching band students gave a brief presentation on their program and highlighted their excitement on purchasing new uniforms. The 2022-23 printed calendars will be available soon. Ridlehoover highlighted action steps the district has taken as part of the Educational Equity Committee. One of those items being “Good News Card.” Another being a “Sartell Community Night” to be held on Sept. 26 at the Sartell High School in partnership with the City of Sartell and local religious organizations. Many of our administrative leaders have been busy with restorative practices training. The district received $17,000 in grants for Youth Frontiers, an organization that prides themselves on building a better tomorrow by inspiring young people to live lives of character. It looks promising that we’ll be able to bring them in during the 2022-23 schoolyear. MAC101 training will be offered to all freshman.
Community Survey Report:
- Communications Specialist Sarah Kleppe reported on the results of the 2021-22 Community Survey.
School Board Committee Report:
- Vice Chair Moehrle and Clerk Jeremy Snoberger reported the facilities committee met to discuss the bond funds. A decision has been made to use the dollars for lighting and bleachers on the field. They will not move forward with the entire project at this time. Once the board decides to move forward with the stadium facility, it will use the original blueprint designed by Bradbury Stamm Construction and Design Tree.
