Sartell 16U girls fast-pitch softball team, sponsored by House of Pizza, advanced to a 5-1 record with a forfeit by Minnesota Renegades ’97 and a win over the Mounds View Mustangs, 9-4. Pitchers Faith Thompson and Kaila Dewanz combined for the win. House of Pizza heads into the state qualifying tournament, Sunday Sept. 22 with four straight wins.
Joe Hellie, a Sartell resident, was recently named to the position of vice president of strategy and network development at CentraCare Health. His position will be effective Jan. 1.
Steve Daffinrud, Sartell, has joined Catholic Charities Caritas Mental Health Clinic as a licensed psychologist, providing assessment and counseling services at the clinic’s St. Cloud and Little Falls locations.
Daffinrud has a passion for helping individuals and families that struggle because of mental health and developmental issues that get in the way of their life and relationships.
“We’re delighted to add Steve to our staff,” said Dr. Joan Collins-Marotte, director of Catholic Charities Caritas Family Services. “Steve is committed to assessing more complex developmental and neuropsychological issues, such as autism, ADHD, specific learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities and more. We really value his expertise as a member of our team.”
Daffinrud holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Dakota, a master’s degree from the counseling and psychological services program at St. Mary’s University, and has been a licensed psychologist since 1997.
