The Sartell Public Works Department employees and its director, John Kothenbeutel, received high praise from the Sartell City Council for their round-the-clock effort at snow removal from streets and public parking lots.
At the Feb. 25 council meeting, Mayor Ryan Fitzthum and council member Brady Andel praised the Kothenbeutel and the work crews for the mammoth amounts of work and long hours they put into removal of snow from streets. This winter has been one of the snowiest, not to mention one of the coldest, winters ever recorded in central Minnesota.
Council member Andel, besides giving praise, also said residents should all remind themselves to keep the snow well-shoveled around fire hydrants so firefighters can have quick and easy access to them in case of fires.
