Stearns County’s License Center west will open drive-thru services for motor vehicle transactions during the stay at home order starting Wednesday, April 8.
Drive-thru services will be open 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the License Center, 3301 CR 138, Waite Park.
Staff will follow social distancing rules, and longer wait times are expected at the drive-up window. All drive-thru services can be done as well online, by mail or through the provided drop boxes at the entrances of both the Service Center and downtown St. Cloud Administration Center.
Stearns County’s Virtual License Center can be accessed from the home page of the Stearns County website at StearnsCountyMN.gov. Online services are available for:
- Tab renewals
- Boat, ATV and snowmobile renewals
- Birth and death certificates
- Ordination filings
- Marriage license applications
- Marriage certificate applications
Drop boxes in the building entrances can be used for:
- Tab renewals
- Boat, ATV and snowmobile renewals
- Birth and death certificates
- Ordination filings
- Marriage certificate applications
- Title fransfers (call for fees)
- Notary filings
- DL self certifications/medical card update (copy of medical card)
- Disability parking applications
- Property tax payments (can also be done online)

License Centers are unable to process any driver’s licenses or passports until further notice. Gov. Tim Walz extended driver’s license expiration dates by 60 days. The Real ID deadline has been extended to Oct. 1, 2021.
