The following words, written in all capital letters, should strike anger, fear and trembling into the hearts of every good American who cherishes representative government.

“IF IMMUNITY IS NOT GRANTED TO A PRESIDENT, EVERY PRESIDENT THAT LEAVES OFFICE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY INDICTED BY THE OPPOSING PARTY. WITHOUT COMPLETE IMMUNITY, A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROPERLY FUNCTION!”

Those are words of a wannabe dictator. That vile paragraph, with its loud and angry capital letters, looks like a nasty warning sign slapped on an alley fence by a neighborhood bully. And, indeed, we Americans, we neighbors, should take it as a big, loud warning sign.

It was written by that Biggest Bully of them all, ex-President Donald Trump. He posted it on his TruthSocial site (more like “UnTruthSocial) after he learned a federal appeals court had unanimously voted to reject his claims of “presidential immunity” regarding the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection attempt at the nation’s Capitol.

There’s some grim, unintended humor in Trump’s temper-tantrum message. It’s the last sentence: “WITHOUT COMPLETE IMMUNITY, A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROPERLY FUNCTION!”

Since WHEN, we should be shouting/asking, did Trump ever PROPERLY FUNCTION?

The ex-president is facing four criminal indictments and a total of 91 felony charges. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. He’s already been found guilty in the sexual abuse and defamation cases brought by E. Jean Carroll. But he claims innocence, that it’s all just a witch hunt, that he’s a victim of a plot by a Biden-weaponized Justice Department, not to mention lying judges here, there, everywhere. Oh yeah, everybody’s a lying crook. Except for the “properly functioning” Trump, that is. His scheme is to appeal and delay until he is King of the Heap, who can pardon himself and all the other scoundrels who enabled and participated in his crookery.

In crazy behavior at campaign rallies, Trump rants and raves, snorts and scoffs, sniffles and whines: “Oh, poor me, the victim!”

He tells us what he would do in a second term in the White House. He will dismantle, if not totally destroy, our system of checks and balances as he, like a lunatic paranoiac, vows vengeance against all enemies real and/or imagined. He defines “enemy” as being anyone who does not worship at the altar of “The Donald,” the lifetime Narcissist.

Trump often sings the praises of thugs like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jung-Un and Viktor Orban. He envies them because he himself is a wannabe dictator. That’s his big dream, if re-elected – to grab the reins of power and trash the U.S. Constitution. He’s said so himself. Believe him.

Not long after he was elected, he attended the NATO summit in Europe and made a fool of himself – strutting past the other delegates gathered there, his head held high arrogantly, with that sneering, jeering, condescending look on his face. Some delegates, standing in groups, laughed out loud at the pathetic spectacle of his clownish behavior.

Diehard Trump supporters are gullibly eager to believe he is all for the poor workin’ folks. Well, just wait and see, folks. Vote at your own risk!

It’s so ironic Biden bashers are claiming mental lapses when, in fact, the most dangerous threats to our country, to this whole wide world, are coming from Trump, not Biden.

With rare exceptions, Trump has not been able to “properly function” at all. If he is re-elected, God forbid, all hell will break loose, worse than a bull in a china shop.

The loud warning signs are here. Heed them!
