Thomas Laddie Pinkerton, 82, of Sartell, Minnesota died Aug. 13 surrounded by his family at the St. Cloud Veterans Medical Center.
A memorial service was held Aug. 22 at Celebration Lutheran Church, 1500 Pinecone Road N., Sartell. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Camp Ripley, Little Falls, Minnesota at a later date.
Pinkerton was born in Wales, North Dakota to the late James and Ora Pinkerton. He graduated from Warren (Minnesota) High School. Pinkerton joined the U.S. Navy in 1955 and received an honorable discharge in 1957. He married Judith Koland Dec. 23, 1960 in Stephen, Minnesota at the First Lutheran Church. They enjoyed 58 years together. He was a member of Bricklayers Union #1 and received his 50-year Gold Card in 2010.
Survivors include the following: his wife Judi; children: a son Jon (Dr. Brett) Pinkerton and two daughters Jennifer (Phil) Jensen and Molly (Josh) Wanner; four grandchildren: Jackie Pinkerton, Tommy Pinkerton, Jacob Nygaard and Jack Nelson; a sister Frances Fanfulik; a brother Richard (Marion) Pinkerton; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by sisters Jacqueline, Margaret and Carol and one brother James.
Honorary urn bearers were his four grandchildren.
