Voters in Sartell and St. Stephen will elect four members to the District 748 School Board on Election Day, Nov. 6. Three will be elected to four-year terms, and one will be elected to a two-year term.
Eight candidates are running for the three four-year terms, including one incumbent, Chris Gross, who was appointed to fill a vacancy due to a resignation. The other seven candidates for four-year terms are Christopher Condon, Krista Laurich Durrwachter, Dan Goetz, Jason Nies, Pam Raden, Keith Yapp and Molly Vogt.
There are two candidates vying for the two-year term on the board. They are Michelle Meyer, who is a previous board member; and Gary L. Schnellert, an incumbent board member who was appointed this year to fill a vacancy. The reason there is a two-year term to fill is because of the resignation of Julie Zupfer Anderson in early 2012.
The school board currently is comprised of — besides Gross and Schnellert, as mentioned above — Greg Asfeld, Mary McCabe, Lesa Kramer and Dan Riordan (chairman).
