Sabres lose game to Fergus Falls

The Sartell Sabres football team lost 35-28 to the Fergus Falls Otters Sept. 28 at a home conference game played at Sabre Field.
It was the Sabres’ first loss of the season. The team now has an overall record of 4-1 and a Central Lakes Conference League record of 2-1. The Sabres will take on St. Cloud Tech Friday, Oct. 5 in an away game at the Tech ballfield.
So far, the Sabres have the following wins: St. Cloud Apollo (6-0), Big Lake (33-6), Sauk Rapids-Rice (28-0) and Grand Rapids (27-8). Of those, Apollo and Sauk Rapids-Rice are teams in the Central Lake Conference League, as is Fergus Falls.
The other upcoming games on the Sabres’ season schedule are against Willmar, a Sartell home game at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12; and Bemidji, an away game at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.
