Pam Bacon of Sartell has been named an ex-officio member of the College of St. Benedict’s Board of Trustees.
She will serve a two-year term on the board, which is comprised of 36 members, plus five ex-officio members. The board upholds the CSB mission, appoints the president of the college and secures the financial future of CSB.
An ex-officio member is one who is part of a board by virtue of holding another office or official position.
An associate professor of psychology at both CSB and St. John’s University, Bacon is vice chair of the Joint Faculty Assembly for those two schools. In her teaching, Bacon specializes in social psychology and the psychology of gender. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Carleton College in Northfield and a master’s degree and doctorate, both in psychology, from Iowa State University in Ames.
Bacon has taught at CSB and SJU since 2003.
