A St. Cloud woman was the driver of a roll-over crash that occurred three miles north of St. Joseph at about 11:40 p.m. Dec. 12.
A 911 call was received reporting the roll-over along CR 3 near North Ridge Lane in St. Wendel Township.
Stearns County deputies arrived at the scene and noted the vehicle had rolled multiple times into the west ditch of CR 3. They talked to the driver – Faith Marie Reed, 18 – and they learned she had been southbound on CR 3 when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer into the ditch and roll.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the St. Joseph Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance. The sheriff’s report did not mention if Reed suffered serious injuries in the crash.
The cause of the incident is under investigation as speeding and use of controlled substances appear to be a factor in the crash, according to the report.
