March is Food Share Month

March is Food Share Month in Minnesota where donations are matched during the month.  During this time of significant economic distress, many area families are using local food shelves more than ever before. Consider leveraging the match by running a food drive within your work place, church or service club and donate to your local food shelf.

Make a difference in someone’s life

Great River Area Faith in Action of St. Cloud is a nondenominational organization matching compassionate, caring volunteers with people who because of age, disability or life circumstances need some help to remain independent in their own homes. Volunteer opportunities include everyday activities – like doing simple household chores, taking someone who can’t drive to the doctor or grocery store or just spending some time visiting. A couple hours a week is all it takes to make a difference in someone’s life.

Contact Cherise, Great River Area Faith in Action of St. Cloud volunteer coordinator, at (320) 258- 8678
