While the City of Sartell is encouraging people to enjoy the newly opened “Walking Bridge” across the Mississippi River, the city is reminding those who do so to please park across the street.
Since that walking bridge opened for pedestrians and bicyclists in mid-June, there has been an increasing number of vehicles parked in the lot of the River Boat Depot restaurant-and-bar. That can make it a bit difficult for that business’s customers to find a place to park. River Boat Depot is located just above the riverbank near the walking bridge.
The city is urging visitors to that bridge to park their vehicles in the newly paved Watab Park parking lot. It is located on the west side of CR 1 (Riverside Avenue), across the street from Veterans Park and a block or two from the entrance to the walking bridge.
