People who live in the Metro Bus area, which includes Sartell, are invited to attend a meeting about a potential land purchase by Metro Bus.
The meeting will take place two times on Thursday, Feb. 16 at Waite Park City Hall. The first meeting will be from 1-3 p.m., the second from 5-7 p.m.
The meeting is called “Title VI Equity Analysis” and will present the possible land purchase in order to get input from residents about development of land in the western part of the Metro Bus service area. That location is being planned for a future transit hub.
The Title VI Equity Analysis is undertaken with regard to where a project is located or sited to ensure that location is selected without regard to race, color or national origin. The Feb. 16 meetings are intended to engage public input specifically from persons potentially impacted by the siting of the Metro Bus facility.
St. Cloud Metro Bus operates seven days a week and provides over 1 million fixed route, Dial-a-Ride and commuter bus passenger trips annually in Sartell, St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids and Waite Park.
