Madison Evans, a young freelance reporter for the Newsleaders, will speak about her journey in the world of journalism at the Thursday, March 27 session of “Coffee and Conversation” at the Sartell Community Center. Evans’ talk will begin at 9 a.m.
Madison, a seventh-grader at Sartell Middle School, has won several honors for her news-and-feature writing. Most recently, she won a first-prize award from the Minnesota News Association for a Newsleaders story she wrote about a Sartell boy, Jaymeson Miller, who is courageously battling cancer.
Evans is the daughter of Jen and James Evans.
“Coffee and Conversation” is a weekly program featuring talks by interesting, informative people. It is a long-time, ongoing series presented by the Sartell Senior Connection.
