UPDATE:
Khadijah Abdalaziz Sheikh, a 15-month-old child who was the subject of an amber alert Thursday, Oct. 22, was found safe later in the evening after the suspect’s vehicle was pulled over on Interstate 35, according to an Anoka County sheriff’s Twitter account. The suspect was placed under arrest, and the child is safe.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office thanks the public for their help in resolving this AMBER alert safely.

An AMBER alert was issued on Thursday, Oct. 22 for a 1-year-old child from Ramsey, MN.
Khadijah Abdalaziz Sheikh was abducted by her non-custodial parent from a daycare center. The mother, Yusra Abumayaleh, had recently lost custody of the child and had been acting in an irrational manner, threatening to commit suicide and/or cause harm to other people. Law enforcement believe this child and mother are in danger.
The mother is believed to be traveling in a 2004 black Honda Civic, license plate number 386-HUJ. Descriptions of the child and suspect are below.
