If you have a tip concerning a crime, call the Sartell Police Department at 320-251-8186 or Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-255-1301, or access its tip site at tricountycrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers offers rewards up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a crime.

March 5
4:35 p.m. Crash. CR 1/Heritage Drive. Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash. Officers learned one of the vehicles was traveling on Riverside Avenue S. going through the roundabout, when they were struck broadside on the passenger side. No one was hurt in the crash and both vehicles were able to drive from the scene.

March 6
10:07 p.m. Dog complaint. Fouth Avenue NE. Officers took a dog-at-large complaint. The caller stated a neighbor dog was in their yard making it difficult for them to let their dogs out. It was believed the dog came from across the street. Officers spoke with the neighbor who acknowledged letting their dog out but was unaware the dog had run into another yard. The neighbor told officers they needed to get a new battery for their invisible fence to keep the dog in their yard. Nothing further was needed and officers cleared.

March 7
12:42 p.m. Fraud. Watab Court. The caller reported they were notified their Sam’s Club credit card had a fraudulent charge. Someone had attempted to purchase more than $400 online. The bank declined the charge, and the card was declined. The caller stated they do everything online and assumed someone had hacked the account. Officers advised the caller to cancel all cards and to put a freeze on their account. At this time there was only one attempted charge, and the victim is not out any money.

March 8
9:16 a.m. Theft. Amber Avenue S. Officers were dispatched for a theft-from-a-vehicle complaint. The victim stated someone had gone through their vehicle as they noticed their glove box and center console were rummaged through. The victim stated a coin purse full of roughly $10 in change and a pair of Beats headphones were taken. The victim told police it was unknown if the vehicle was locked the night before or if it had unlocked when they started their car in the morning. No damage was done to the vehicle.

March 9
7:55 p.m. Traffic stop. CR 133. Officers responded to a driving complaint. The complaint stated the driver ahead of them was driving all over the road and driving below the posted speed limit. Officers caught up with the vehicle and made a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver they noticed some slurred speech and watery eyes. The driver stated they did have two beers at a nearby restaurant but insisted it did not impact their ability to drive. The officer asked the driver to perform some field sobriety tests and to give a PBT sample, which came back as .009. Officers determined there was not enough information to believe the driver was impaired or under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. The driver was issued a citation for their driving conduct.

March 10
10:29 p.m. Shoplifting. 21 CR 120. Officers were dispatched to a shoplifting in progress. Staff told officers a woman was concealing merchandise under their sweatshirt. Officers arrived and spoke with the suspect who admitted to taking some items as they didn’t have the money. The suspect was issued a citation for theft and released.

March 11
8:04 a.m. Crash. Pinecone Road. Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash along Pinecone Road. Officers were told the driver of the first vehicle was attempting to turn into the Little Dukes parking lot when they were struck from behind. Officers helped exchange information with each driver and both vehicles left the scene.
