Aug. 7
10:30 p.m. Assist. River Oaks Lane. Officers assisted Stearns County with a medical for an overdose. Officers used Narcan to help the individual until medical personnel could arrive. The individual was transported to St. Cloud Hospital.
Aug. 8
11:55 p.m. Traffic stop. CR. 1. An officer witnessed a vehicle with a license-plate light that was out. Stopping the vehicle for the equipment violation, the driver told the officer he had a revoked license. The officer cited the driver for the license revocation and valid driver arrived to drive the vehicle.
Aug. 9
11:15 p.m. Juvenile call. Seventh Street N. Juveniles were reported on the high school roof. Officers retrieved the juveniles from the roof and the juveniles were either picked up by parents or sent home. All the juveniles were warned about trespassing and curfew.
Aug. 10
2:05 a.m. Loud music. Hi Vue Park. Answering a loud-music complaint, an officer met with the homeowner and the homeowner turned off the music and stated he was done playing music for the night.
Aug. 11
12:55 a.m. DWI. Hwy. 15. Officers monitoring their radios heard a call from Benton County officers requesting assistance with a vehicle driving the wrong way. Officers stopped the vehicle and the driver was arrested for DWI. The driver was transported to Benton County Jail.
Aug. 12
11:50 p.m. Shoplifting. CR 120. An officer at a business witnessed two individuals concealing items on their person. Working with asset protection, the officer confronted the two and cited them for theft and trespassing.
Aug. 13
2:10 a.m. Fireworks. Celebration Circle. Officers answered a report of juveniles shooting off fireworks. Officers arrived and stopped the vehicle associated with the fireworks call. The juveniles admitted to shooting off fireworks. The officers contacted the juveniles’ parents and waited until they arrived to release the juveniles to their parents.
Aug. 14
7:50 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. CR 120. An officer checked out a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business. The officer discovered two individuals who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Upon further investigation, paraphernalia and hypodermic needles were found. Both individuals were cited for the infractions.
Aug. 15
7:30 p.m. Warrant. Knickerbocker Court. Officers were dispatched to a juvenile with an arrest warrant. The juvenile knew the officers were arriving and was cooperative. The officer took the juvenile into custody without incident and individual was transported to Stearns County Jail.
Aug. 16
8 p.m. Traffic stop. Division Street. An officer on duty saw a driver of a vehicle not wearing a seatbelt. The officer stopped the vehicle and the driver could not produce proof of insurance either. The driver was issued a citation for both of those infractions.
Aug. 17
10 p.m. Alcohol. First Street S. Officers working a special detail noticed two individuals arguing. Talking with the two individuals it was discovered they were underage and had been drinking. The officer issued a citation to each person for minor consumption.
Aug. 18
8:20 a.m. Traffic stop. Hwy. 15. An officer conducting a license-plate check found an active arrest warrant. The driver admitted to the officer he was aware of the warrant. The officer took the individual into custody without issue.
Aug. 19
9:05 p.m. Intoxicated person. Seventh Avenue S. Officers were called regarding an intoxicated person sitting in a yard. Officers arrived and helped the intoxicated person home where they turned care over to the person’s spouse.
Aug. 20
12:15 p.m. Traffic stop CR 1. An officer witnessed a vehicle with a brake light out. Stopping the vehicle, the driver said there was no insurance on the vehicle. The officer issued a citation for no insurance and allowed the driver to move the vehicle to a parking lot so the vehicle would not be towed.
