Sartell
Inspired by an insert from last week’s Newsleader, I was motivated to utilize common sense when deciding whom to support in the Sartell-St. Stephen School Board election.
As our district boasts one of the highest graduation rates in the state, it’s common sense to see how successful our incumbent school board members have been and that radical change isn’t in the best interest of our community. As the tremendously talented teachers in our district know what contributes to future success, it’s common sense to support the same candidates they have endorsed. As our school board should reflect those attending our district, it’s common sense to elect those who have children within our district. As our students don’t deserve to be forced to learn in 82-degree classrooms, it’s common sense to support candidates who will provide proper learning environments to our students. As our school board should prioritize the needs and values of Sartell and St. Stephen, it’s common sense not to listen to the chirping from an outside political-action committee regardless of how much money they have or how pretty their inserts are.
I encourage you to use common sense and vote for those who will make the most positive impact on our district. Common sense endorses Tricia Meling, Matt Moehrle and Chelsea Thielen, and so do I.
