Sartell
What a shock to read the Sept. 20 Sartell Newsleader article that only three of the school board candidates engaged with the Sartell Education Association-focused questions.
Because candidates Gruber, Alexander and Ringstad were not willing to respond to the SEA on these basic questions, I find it impossible to trust they will have the best interests of teachers and students in mind.
Teachers are open to the idea there is always more to learn. SEA sent focused questions about each candidate’s service mindset, current school involvement, student focus, nonpartisan thinking and teaching support. Effective communication with all stakeholders can engage, inform, promote and celebrate the high-quality instruction of ISD 748, and only three candidates had the decency to engage with our teachers.
It is evident candidates Chelsea Thielen, Tricia Meling and Matt Moehrle have the basic respect for the district to engage with our curious, competent staff and can foster a relationship with the SEA.
The Sabre community should vote for common sense communicators. Please support the ISD 748 School Board candidates who support our exceptional educators. Those three are Thielen, Meling and Moehrle.
