June 19 Sartell police blotter

June 12

12:50 a.m. Warrant. 10th Avenue N.  Officers were called to a possible domestic at a residence. Upon arrival one of the individuals involved attempted to leave. Officers ran the license plate to the individual and discovered the individual had a warrant for their arrest in another county. The individual was placed under arrest and taken to the Benton County Sheriff’s Department.

June 13

6:40 p.m. Traffic stop. First Avenue N. An officer witnessed a vehicle turn without yielding to approaching traffic almost causing an accident. The officer stopped the vehicle and the driver could not produce proof of insurance. The officer cited the individual for failing to provide proof of insurance and gave a warning for the failing to yield.

June 14

7:40 p.m. Unwanted person. Killdeer Avenue South. Officers were dispatched to a residence regarding an unwanted individual. The officers talked with both parties. The officers advised that the police would not discuss civil matters with either party and that one should leave. The individual complied.

June 15

12:15 a.m. Domestic. CR 120. Officers were dispatched to a possible domestic occurring in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and stopped it. The driver had an active no contact order in place that was for the passenger. The officers arrested the individual for the violation and transported him to the hospital for evaluation.

June 16

8:45 p.m. Driving complaint. Riverside Avenue S. Officers were notified about an erratic driver. The officer located the vehicle and found that one of the vehicle’s brake lights was out. Stopping the vehicle, the driver admitted to not having a valid license. The driver was canceled inimical to public safety. The driver was arrested and transported to Stearns County Jail. A small amount of marijuana was also found.

June 17

8:30 p.m. Traffic stop. First Street NE. An officer witnessed a vehicle traveling at a faster speed than the posted speed limit. The officer stopped the vehicle and the driver admitted to the infraction. The officer cited the driver for speeding.

June 18

12:20 a.m. Traffic stop. CentraCare Circle. An officer conducting license plate checks discovered one of the owners of a vehicle had a revoked license. The driver matched the description of the owner with the revoked license. The officer stopped the vehicle and issued a citation for the revoked license. The officer drove the individual home.
