St. Joseph American Legion Post 328 has planned an American Flag Retirement Ceremony for 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, in the Legion parking lot.
Unserviceable flags that have been collected will be respectfully disposed of by burning. The public is invited to the event and to dispose of any worn or faded American flags.
Immediately following the ceremony, coffee and desserts will be served in the Legion building. The winners of the “What The American Flag Means To Me” poster contest will be announced and prizes awarded.
If you are unable to attend, you may drop your unserviceable flags into the Flag Disposal Box, on the east wall, outside the American Legion, 101 Minnesota St. W.
