Nov. 13
6:13 a.m. Fire. CR 2. A turkey barn caught fire. Police provided traffic control as fire departments hauled water to the scene.
9:53 a.m. Injury crash. CR 75/CR 3. A 34-year-old male from Avon was traveling east on CR 75, attempted to stop at a red light, but crashed into a UPS semi-tractor in front of him, driven by a 42-year-old-male from Buffalo, Minn. The Avon man was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. Road conditions were a contributing factor in the crash.

5:43 p.m. Fraud. Dale Street E. A 53-year-old woman called police after someone made fraudulent charges on her debit card. She notified her bank. The woman had the card, but somehow someone got ahold of the number. The card was canceled and destroyed.

12:09 a.m. Bar check. Minnesota Street E. Officers checked local bars for violations; none were found.
Nov. 16
1:04 a.m. Open container. 1st Avenue NE/Minnesota Street E. An officer observed a 22-year-old male drinking a brown liquid out of a clear plastic cup. The male admitted it was whiskey and Coke. The male then stated he was probably not allowed to do that in public. The officer informed the male he was correct. He was cited and released.
Nov. 17
8:12 a.m. Property damage. Minnesota Street W. A 21-year-old female spun out on the icy road, and went into the ditch. A mailbox was also hit and damaged. The vehicle was towed.
Nov. 18
10:22 p.m. Fire alarm. Birch Street W. Police responded to a fire alarm. When they arrived they found an employee inside. The employee stated the alarm was in error, and there wasn’t a fire.
Nov. 19
1:35 p.m. Narcotics. College Avenue N. Several items were brought into the police, including drugs and drug paraphernalia. The items were destroyed after being photographed.
Nov. 20
1:29 p.m. Suspicious person. College Avenue N. A 66-year-old male from California showed up at the police station, very confused. He stated he had just gone through a time warp. He said he wasn’t on any medication. He said he lived outdoors, and was on his way to California. The man was friendly, but made little sense. Police suggested to the man they take him to the hospital, and he agreed.
2:54 p.m. Traffic stop. CR 75/CR 134. An officer observed a car accelerate around two turns, kicking the rear of the vehicle out, and pass through a stop sign without coming to a complete stop. The officer caught up to the vehicle traveling at speeds of more than 75 mph. The driver was identified as a 19-year-old male from Buffalo, Minn. The driver was issued a citation.
