St. John’s Prep students grades six through 12, faculty and staff collected $2,637 in cash/check donations and 425 pounds of food to the St. Joseph Community Food Shelf. Prep students brought in non-perishable food items. The money was used to purchase turkeys, pies, buns and other perishable items. Sarah Gainey’s sixth-grade homeroom was declared the winning class based on the amount of food (104.8 pounds) and the amount of money ($185) they collected.

Von Pinnon has been publishing the St. Joseph Newsleader since 1989, the Sartell-St. Stephen Newsleader since 1995 and the Sauk Rapids-Rice Newsleader since 2015.
