Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum praised the police department for making available to the public emergency responder window decals.
Fitzthum said he has already received many positive comments about them.
The decals/stickers are notices that can be placed in windows of vehicles or homes that notify emergency responders (police, firefighters and others) of any medical or mental conditions of one or more people in the vehicle or house.
Here is an example: “Emergency Responders: An occupant may be DEAF OR HEARING IMPAIRED. Communication may be difficult.”
Four others are: Autism or Special Needs, Diabetic, Brain Injury or PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), Dementia or Alzheimers.
The stickers are free and may be picked up at the Sartell Police Department.
