Members of the Abounding Joy Lutheran Church will break ground for their new facility at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 27 in Sartell. The public is welcome to attend the ceremony.
The church site is located at the corner of CR 120 and Amblewood Drive on the border of Sartell and St. Cloud, about 1.5 miles west of the CentraCare Plaza.
The $1.7-million, 10,000 square-foot first phase of the project will be completed in spring 2015.
Abounding Joy is a member of the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ. It was founded in July 2011 and is served by Pastor Tom Wright. The congregation has been meeting in the community room of the Boy Scout building on Pinecone Road in Sartell.
