11:53 a.m. Gunshots heard. Third Street N. Officers received a complaint of an individual target practicing. Per city ordinance, no one can target practice with a firearm within city limits. Officers arrived at the residence and met a man who admitted to shooting a pellet gun on his property. The man was explained the city ordinance and asked to not target practice anymore.

8:08 p.m. Threats. Third Avenue N. Officers were dispatched to a threat’s complaint. The caller stated her daughter was playing Roblox when a threatening message came on the screen upsetting her daughter. The caller stated she was not concerned as she was thinking it was kids messing around but wanted the incident documented.
Dec. 31
2:21 p.m. Theft. Second Street S. The caller reported a former employee was in the store and left without paying for several items. Officers called and spoke with the suspect who stated they were shopping and had put some items in their pocket because they couldn’t carry it all and forgot to pay. The officer issued a citation for misdemeanor theft and the suspect was given a trespass form by the store.
Jan. 2
1:44 p.m. Dumping/littering. Brianna Drive. The complainant stated an individual dumped two garbage bags into their dumpster. The caller stated they spoke with the individual who removed the garbage bags and put them back in their vehicle and drove off. The caller wanted the incident documented in case it happens again.
Jan. 4
2:09 p.m. Hit and run. 21 CR 120. The caller reported damage to their vehicle they believed was from a hit-and-run in the parking lot. Officers watched surveillance video and saw no one had hit the caller’s vehicle. Officers advised if it was hit, it happened at a different location and was suggested to retrace their steps.
Jan. 6
6:30 p.m. Traffic stop. Second Street S. Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle with its headlights not working. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver about the equipment violation. The driver had only an instruction permit and was the only occupant in the vehicle. The driver was cited for an instruction permit violation and waited for a valid driver to pick them up.
