KofC free-throw contest set Saturday, Jan. 21

A free-throw competition for children ages 9-14 will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at St. Francis Xavier School gymnasium, 219 Second St. N., Sartell. All St. Joseph students are welcome as St. Joseph Knights of Columbus will not be holding its contest this year. This annual event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Trobec Council 5276, serving the Sartell and St. Stephen communities. All contestants from the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. Winners at each level receive a trophy. This year, all participants will receive a Gatorade and will be entered into a drawing to win one of four $25 gift certificates to Clutch Take and Bake Pizza! (Limit one per family). Participants register at the event and must have written consent and age verification from a parent or guardian. Fastpitch softball registration now open

Registration is OPEN for Sartell Fastpitch Softball Association for players 8U-18U. REGISTER NOW at www.sartellfastpitch.com. 

Dog park closed Jan. 28

Millstream Dog Park will be closed from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan 28.

St. Joseph Park & Rec offers estate planning

St. Joseph Park & Rec will hold an informational workshop on estate planning provided by Catholic United Financial from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the St. Joseph Government Center, 75 Callaway St. E. Cookies, cocoa and water will be provided.

Museum to host Sweetheart Dance

The Stearns History Museum is hosting a Sweetheart Swing Dance party for you and your special someone Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Whitney Senior Center, 1527 Northway Drive, St. Cloud. Step back in time to the Big Band Era as you sway to the music of the Rock City Jazz Band. Dance lessons start at 6:30 p.m. and the dance kicks off at 7 p.m. Favorites from the 20s, 30s and 40s will be featured so you can dance the night away. Local beer will be served, along with some tasty treats. Put on your best vintage wear and make it a night to remember! Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at www.stearnshistorymuseum.org or at the door. Space is limited so get yours today.

Central Minnesota Foster Grandparent Program sponsored by Catholic Charities has many opportunities to mentor youth ages 0-18+ at childcare centers, preschools, elementary, junior high and high schools, after-school programs and specialty programs. St. Joseph Park & Rec to collect plastic eggs

St. Joseph Park & Rec is collecting plastic eggs for a future activity. To donate, drop them off from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the St. Joseph Government Center, 75 Callaway St. E.
