The Minnesota State Legislature has approved funding that will make possible two projects in Sartell, including a major road improvement and neighborhood flood-mitigation efforts.
There will be funding for construction of improvement for what’s known as “Town Line Road” – from CR 5 to CR 4. Plans for improvements to that road have long been sought. The state-funded project will make possible safer road conditions and will have a positive effect on Sartell, St. Stephen and the townships of Brockway, LeSauk and St. Wendel.
“The Town Line Road project has been a long time coming,” said Rep. Tim O’Driscoll (R-Sartell), co-author of the bill. “I’m very pleased we finally have resources to give this road the updates it sorely needs.”
The other co-author of the bill was Sen. Jeff Howe (R-Rockville).
The other bill, also co-authored chiefly by O’Driscoll and Howe, provides funding for flood-mitigation projects for neighborhoods in west Sartell.
