Retired Sartell firefighters want to remind Sartell residents 55 and above or people of any age who are disabled they can get help changing their smoke-detector batteries.
Each year, the retired firefighters do that volunteer task as a public-safety service. The batteries are installed free of charge, thanks to donations of batteries from Batteries Plus.
To schedule a battery-replacement time, call the Sartell Police Department at 320-251-8186 or retired firefighter Dennis Molitor at 320-252-7055.
