Sascha Hansen has been named the new Sartell High School principal beginning in the 2020-2021 school year.
Hansen succeeds Brenda Steve who is retiring after 32 years in the Sartell-St. Stephen school district where she has served as high school principal, curriculum director and high school science teacher.
Hansen has served as an assistant principal at Sartell High School for the past three years and previously served as a physical education and health teacher at the high school and middle school. In addition to her time in the district, Hansen was employed in the St. Cloud school district where she served as the Tech High School varsity girls basketball coach and also served as a Target Services coordinator for Talahi Community School.
“I am honored to be selected as the principal of Sartell High School,” Hanson said. “I have loved my time teaching and serving as an assistant principal in this school district and can’t think of a better place to be. Our staff, students and families are extraordinary, and I am excited to lead in this capacity.”
“After an extensive search and interview process, Sascha was selected based on her exemplary leadership and interpersonal skills,” Superintendent Jeff Schwiebert said. “In addition to her administrative work at Sartell High School, Sascha has served in multiple leadership roles across the school district. She is a passionate and committed educator who is student-centered and forward thinking. These are the qualities I feel are essential in an administrator.”
