Project Connect is a free event that offers people within our community the opportunity to access services offered by governmental, non-profit and other agencies. A popular offering is free haircuts. Project Connect planners are searching for volunteers to cut hair for individuals who are unable to pay on their own. Project planners are also collecting winter gear to distribute at the event on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Winter gear includes coats, snow pants, hats, waterproof mittens, socks and hooded sweatshirts. All donations will go to those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Donations can be dropped off at Edina Reality, 4150 Second St. N., Ste 210, St. Cloud. For more information, contact Mary Krippner, director of volunteer engagement, at 320-223-7991 or mkrippner@unitedwayhelps.org to learn more.
