Four St. Joseph students recently received Huskies Scholarships from St. Cloud State University. They are as follows: Kadra Ahmed, $2,000 Charles and Ellora Alliss Scholarship, fall 2022/spring 2023 semesters; Meet Patel, $1,600 Xcel Energy Power Scholarship in electrical engineering for fall semester; Madison Platz, $1,000 Charles and Ellora Alliss Scholarship for fall semester; and Sydney Robinson, $2,000 College of Education Dean’s Scholarship for graduate students for the fall 2022/spring 2023 semesters. Scholarship applications for the 2023-2024 round of Huskies Scholarships opens in January for current and incoming SCSU students.
Two local employees of Preferred Credit Inc./PCI were recently promoted.
Kasey Hansen was promoted to vice president in Client Services, and Laurie Brown was promoted to vice president in Strategic Initiatives.
Hansen of Avon, began her career at PCI in 2004 as an entry-level associate and through her motivation to learn every aspect of the business, she navigated her way through different roles at PCI while obtaining her business management degree. She has been passionate about leading and developing her team in Client Services with remaining client focused and gaining efficiencies along the way.
Brown of Collegeville, joined the PCI team nearly 25 years ago and PCI provided the opportunity for her to grow while working in many different departments throughout her years, including managing the Spanish department prior to leading the Strategic Initiatives department. Brown and her team are responsible for executing on transformational projects within the organization including geographic expansion as well as our digital transformation.
