Shop small, win big.
Shoppers will find lots to choose from when they explore St. Joseph shops for the annual “Shop Small Crawl,” an event Saturday, Nov. 25 to support small businesses.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day.
Fifteen small businesses will be featured this year, most of them right in downtown St. Joseph.
Slightly outside of the city limits, participating businesses are Milk & Honey Ciders and Modern Barnyard.
Shop Small Crawl punch cards are available in the participating stores. Each business has also donated either gifts or gift cards to be awarded after the Shop Small Crawl event. The punch cards feature a QR code for more information on Facebook, telling how to be eligible for drawings in – as well as around – St. Joseph.
Besides the downtown shops, shoppers might also want to check out an authentic old-fashioned operating printing press at Bruno Press, just a few blocks from downtown.
Visitors can walk around the downtown area or drive to nearby locations, all of which are mapped out on the back of the punch cards.
Are there arts-and-craft items on your shopping list? Four of the local businesses (Milk & Honey Ciders, Minnesota Street Market Food & Art Co-op, LaPlayette Bar, Bad Habit Brewing Co.) will host local artists displaying their creations for sale.
Participating businesses in the Shop Small Crawl are Milk & Honey Ciders, W/R Home Co., White Peony Boutique, Minnesota Street Market Food & Art Co-op, Pine & Fiber Co., The Local Blend, Hudson & Co., Bruno Press, Jupiter Moon Ice Cream, LaPlayette Bar, Flour & Flower, Bad Habit Brewing Co., KPower Yoga, Eating, Elevated and Modern Barnyard.
