“What do you think of recent plans to create a Sartell Community Center in the city?”

“I’m for it. I think once you set up a center, what you’ve built is a multi-purpose unit not restricted to just one use anymore. That way, you get more value for your money. When we are not using it (seniors), someone else can. It makes a lot of sense.”

“Excellent idea. I’ve been after that for years. As a city, Sartell is very advanced in many ways, except for that way – no community center. I’m hoping we can start small and go from there.”

Roger Makowsky

“I don’t know what to say. I have mixed feelings. Will it affect my taxes? But a refurbished building might be the way to go. The remodeling of the district education building for a community center – well, that would be great.”

Ruth Bollig
Sartell
“I like it. I’m a very social person, and I like being around people, so I really relish the fact of having a community center, one with a senior center in it. It would be a great addition with conversation centered around food.”

“Love it! I was born and raised here. Years ago we had the Village Hall as a community center. There was a lot of recreation for youth. Parties there, receptions, dances – all kinds of things. A community center would be good for seniors and for the whole community. There could be meetings, birthday parties, class reunions, graduation parties, classes and more.”
