Sartell athletes honored as CLC performers of the week

Three weeks into the fall sports season, Sartell High School athletes are winning recognition as Central Lakes Conference Performers of the Week.

Jameson Weide, linebacker for the  football team,  was selected as the CLC Performer of the Week for Football (defense) for the weeks of Sept. 4 and Sept. 17.

In the Sartell-Cambridge game, Jameson had four solo tackles, three assists, and one interception with an 8-yard return.

In the Sartell-Apollo game, Jameson had four solo tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.

Soccer player Jenna Eibes scored seven goals and one assist in four matches and was named to the list for the week of Sept. 4.

Swimmer Heidi Lenarz finished first in the 500 free (5:28.19) and 100 breast (1:11.36) vs. Fergus Falls to make the Sept. 4 list.

Cross country runner Zach Nemeth ran a sub 17:00 minutes race at Thief River Falls and lead the team to second place to make the Sept. 4 list.

Volleyball player Elizabeth Dille had 57 kills and eight service aces to make the Performers of Week list for the weeks fo Sept. 10 and Sept. 17.

Diving captain Abby Weber scored more than 200 points in three straight meets to make the list for the week of Sept. 17.

Also honored for Sept. 17 was cross county runner Ingrid Buiceag-Arama who won the 25-team Little Falls meet for the second year in a row.
