Winter gear sought
Anna Marie’s Alliance relies upon donations of in-kind items that meet basic needs and provide comfort to their shelter residents, their children and their pets while they are with them. Anna Marie’s Alliance is looking for donations to help keep families warm during the winter months. They are grateful for all contributions that are on their list located on their website.
Winter gear items include snow boots, women’s plus-size coats, snow pants, and sweatshirts for kids and women. Contact Casaundra, Anna Marie’s Alliance, to make sure they are available to take donations at [email protected] or 320-251-7203.
Give the gift of time as a Red Cross volunteer
The holiday season is a time for festivities and family. It’s also a time for giving. This year, you can give a meaningful gift that helps people through some of life’s toughest moments. From helping people impacted by disasters, like home fires and floods, to supporting lifesaving blood donations, you can make a difference. The need for volunteers remains critical and constant during the holiday season. Consider giving the gift of time with one of the urgently needed volunteer opportunities with the Red Cross.
Disaster Action Team members are needed. Every eight minutes the Red Cross responds to a disaster and it’s the compassionate volunteers, who make their mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering possible. When you become a volunteer, you’re helping to turn tragedy into hope. Blood Donor Ambassadors is another great volunteer opportunity with Red Cross. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. The need for blood is constant and so is the need for volunteers at blood drives to help save lives.
